Stage 1

All the optimizing software made for Mercury outboard motors between 50 hp and 450 hp produced between 2014 and 2023 are available at our company which can help us exploit the potentials of our engines safely.

Stage 2

This is the improved version of the Stage 1 software and it usually requires the replacement of some parts to maximize the exploitation of the potentials of the engine. It is not available for every type - get informed via email whether it is available for your outboard motor.

Stage 3

Exclusively for specific outboard motors.

The process of Shiptuning aka outboard motor tuning

The outboard motor tuning usually starts with a preliminary software diagnostics. We check whether there are any errors stored and whether they are still valid. After evaluating the results, we decide if everything is alright.
If so, we read the content of the engine controller, save it, modify the parts that are required and upload it back.
As soon as it is ready, we read the error storage again to check whether everything is alright and it is followed by a test on water if it is possible.

What should you pay attention to when getting a tuning? Tuning advice from the NEOShiptuning.

1. If the tank is empty, fill it up.
2. Don’t use a damaged propeller, because you will ruin your engine.
3. If the propeller doesn’t rotate properly, ask for advice because there must be some problems. (Maybe the propeller is too big.)
4. If the engine doesn’t operate smoothly, don’t you want to have tuning. First you should have it repaired before it will have bigger issues.
5. Don’t fall for facebook, professionals don’t have time to write comments and posts on facebook.
6. Distance doesn’t matter, the most important thing is that your ship operates well.
7. Always ask the chip expert for advice before you buy parts, because they might not match each other or your boat.
8. Trust the chip expert, they want the best for you, but be attentive, think about it and ask more experts for their opinion if you get unsure.
9. Use good quality oil and fuel and you can lengthen the life expectancy of the engine.
